Delegation: How Others can Help You. Joshua 1:10,11

How did Joshua delegate
How did Joshua delegate

How to Inspire Others to Help You with Your Vision

You’ve got an amazing vision….an incredible dream. You know where you are going and you know how to get there. Now you are going to need to recruit some help to make it happen.

I like what Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th president of the United States of America, says about delegated leadership,  “Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.”

Top sales associate, motivational speaker and author of the book See You at The Top  Zig Ziglar shares a very simple,  profound and ancient concept. Some accept this ancient concept as a universal spiritual law.

“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” -Zig Ziglar

Delegation

Zig Ziglar’s quote sounds simple enough; work to help others get what they want and you will get what you want. hmmm

You may have come to know this idea as the law of ‘sowing and reaping’. Perhaps you may have chosen to know it as ‘karma’….or….quite rhetorically, ‘what goes around, comes around’.

It may be a bit of a stretch of the imagination to think that helping other people get what they want is a viable form of delegation…but let’s stretch for a moment.

What did Joshua do to delegate? Then Joshua gave orders to the officers of the people: “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your supplies ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan River and take the land the Lord your God is giving you.’ ” NCV

Joshua gave orders. Other versions say it this way:

  • He commanded
  • He instructed
  • He charged
  • He appointed

Joshua gave orders. He gave orders to the leaders of Israel.

Here is how delegation worked with Joshua. He simply issued a clear directive. He gave a short and quick order:

  • Go through the camp
  • Tell the people

Using the power of delegation, Joshua gave the entire nation of Isreal an expected timeline of three days. “Three days from now you will cross the Jordan River and take the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

Joshua communicated to the masses, by communicating first to his appointed leaders and officers.

Joshua knew God was giving the land to the people. It was not Joshua land, it was the peoples. Joshua was giving the people what they wanted…guess what, He got what he wanted too.

Knowing what to do next is a very important

Perhaps, right now…as you read these words, you are finding yourself in a particular circumstance which is producing a required response from you.

You have come to the end of something and now it is obvious and apparent that you must make some type of decision. It is now time to move forward…to move on. You know it’s time for that next step, but you are unclear of what it might be.

If this is you, I suggest a reminder of how to find out where you are going.

You must first know where you are going and how to get there before you can confidently delegate.

Baby Steps -What’s Next?

Baby Steps To Walking

Babies learn to walk one step at a time, don’t they? They learn in a progression of sequential steps. I like how the Developmental Motor Milestones Chart explains this process of learning to walk. The infant follows this general sequence:

  • Lifts head
  • Uses arms to lift chest
  • Rolls over
  • Sits without support -crawling
  • Stands with support
  • Pulls to stand
  • Walks holding on to objects-cruising
  • Stands alone
  • Walks alone

Are People Born Leaders?

“An eagle does not crawl because it was born to fly.”  -Matshona Dhliwayo

Some people believe people are born leaders. Do you know what I believe? I believe people are born to lead. I believe intentional leaders have to be made and developed through a sequential growth process.

I like what coach Vince Lombardi says about leadership, “Leaders aren’t born they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal or any goal.”

Joshua was born in Egypt under a heavy hand of the pharaoh.

According to the website Chabad.org, Jewish tradition suggests Joshua, like Moses, was also hidden in the Nile after birth to escape Pharaoh’s decree that all newborn Hebrew males be drowned in the river.

I think Joshua grew to have a unique perspective on the juxtaposition between right and wrong. Perhaps Joshua clearly saw the dance between a holy Heaven and a fallen Earth.

I think Joshua’s Hebrew tradition, roots, and culture kept him connected to the heartbeat and desire of Heavens King and Ruler, yet his being born and raised in the culturally and technologically leading nation of Egypt gave him an advantage of learning how to take the human experience of domination, growth, advancement, and leadership. I really think Joshua was the servant of Moses for a reason.

Moses and Joshua were Gods choice and He made sure to use their like-mindedness together to advance his plan to answer the cry of a nation who was weary and tired of being enslaved. Although Joshua and Moses were not the same person, they were one in purpose.

Baby Steps to Leadership

Here a few personal thoughts on the potential baby steps Joshua grew through on his journey to national leadership:

  • Know who YOU are
  • Have a BIG dream
  • Become servant to all
  • Work to stay close to your mentor
  • Know your mentor’s heart & personal journey
  • Understand your dream is an extension of the inspiration of your mentor
  • Be absolute certain and confident when your time to lead comes
  • Get the word about your dream & vision out

When Joshua specifically knew with confidence what it was he was called by God to do, he turned his face from listening to God to speaking and sharing this information with those he was called to lead.

Joshua was mediating the heart and will of God for His people. And so will you. That is what great leaders do…they mediate the between the excellent and provisional purpose and plans of God to the people. Great leaders are most often God’s spokesmen.

Horsemanship

I want to end this thought on taking baby steps into your glorious leadership potential by sharing a quote from American Politician Adlai E Stevenson II,  “It’s hard to lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse.”

Are You Too Old for Success?

“I definitely missed it.”

At the time of this writing, I am forty-four years old. One of the biggest ‘excuses’ I’ve had to deal with is age.

I don’t even know how many times, I’ve have had to wrestle with the loud persistent voices in my head assailing me with an onslaught of remorse, regret, and overall sense that …I have missed my prime time in life.

I have literally felt the heavy oppressive weight of hopelessness ….that there is no hope for me to really do all that is my heart.

I look at others who seem to have *all the stuff* and *do all the fun*.

I compare myself with others my age. Believe me when I say it’s easy to slip into depression when that happens. That is a Big Mistake.

Comparing yourself to others is a deliciously bitter and painful recipe for disaster and unhappiness.

Can you Name 10 people who started a business at the age of 50. Jay Bryan Sandifer.
Can you Name 10 people who started a business at the age of 50. Jay Bryan Sandifer.

What about other people?

However, when I read the short snippets about the following people and their stories I sense the faith for my dreams stirring deep within. I sense that vision, dream, and longing beginning to bubble for my attention. My hope begins to rise like the dawning of a new and my mind begins to experience the optimistic warmth and smile of potential opportunities.

What is impossible with man, now seems possible with God. The language of my heart turns its course away from “I can’t” towards “I can”.

Check out a few examples:

  • Charles Flint was believed to be around 61 when he started IBM
  • Kawasaki Shozo was believed to be around 59 when he officially Started Kawasaki
  • Raymond Crock was believed to be around 52 when he started McDonald’s
  • Harland Sanders was believed to be around 62 when he started Kentucky Fried Chicken. This was after his over 1,000th rejected solicitation with his famous recipe
  • Julia Child was believed to be around 51 when she wrote her first cookbook
  • Sam Walton was believed to be around 44 when he started Wal-Mart. In 2015, according to Wikipedia, Wal-Mart was the second largest employer in the US  for employing 1.5 people….(and over 2.3 million worldwide). That is a giant. Can you imagine have 2.3 million employees….but wait, we can’t forget. Not officially starting until you are 44 years of age?
  • Henry Ford was believed to be around 45 when he founded Ford Motor Company
  • Momofuku Ando was believed to be around 48 when he discovered the Ramen Noodle.
  • Jack Cover was believed to be around 50 when he invented the Tazer Gun
  • Laura Ingles Wilder was believed to be around 65 when she wrote her first book of the “Little House” series.
  • Benjamin Franklin was believed to be around 76 when he invented the bifocals
  • …and there are much, much more

Joshua was believed to be around 60 when he took over the Nation of Isreal to lead them into their Promised Land

Are you too old to dream and start over in a new direction with a new vision and passion? The simple answer. NO

no. no. no.

Online business solutions site, the Business Insider states that one in three new business were started by entrepreneurs aged 50 and over.

Check out all these great startups that were born from leaders who were in their thirty’s:

  • Intel
  • Sony
  • Public Storage
  • Macy’s
  • LinkedIn
  • Hitachi
  • Boeing
  • Acer
  • Amazon
  • Nintendo
  • Cisco
  • Xerox
  • Proctor and Gamble
  • Hugo Boss
  • Garmin….to name a few.

Are you too old to dream and start over in a new direction with a new vision and passion? The simple answer. NO

Think for a moment about the possibilities: What is it you would have liked to do, but haven’t yet?

Is there anything really holding you back except yourself? Are you the one telling yourself it’s too late? God doesn’t seem to think so, and by history’s example neither do a myriad of others who have proven so.

Three Tips to Help You Succeed

What you MUST do to Succeed

Joshua is told he MUST lead the people to the place God has told them about. Why?

The people needed a leader in order to get to their promised land.

God *had* the people in mind *then* and he has the people in mind *now*. He will also have them in mind tomorrow. He is same yesterday, today and today.

The Lord also gives Joshua an ultimatum,  IF you follow my words exactly, you will be successful in everything you do.

In other words, success is yours, but only IF……

Ultimatums

I remember meeting a lot of musicians and artist and people in College. I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design.

There was this one guitarist I met. I thought he was a really nice guy. Why? He would take me out for lunch and throw parties for the students. His name was Rob. One time I was talking with Rob about God….not sure why…I was n’t exactly being intentional about worshipping or serving God at the time.

Anyway, in one of our conversations, I remember Rob saying he could not accept a God who serves ultimatums….hmmmm. Without getting too deep here,  I believe it would be impossible to have a standard without an ultimatum. Without a standard, there would be no rule for measurement. Without a standard, there would be no integrity, no repetition, no order. Without order, there would be no God. God exists because order says so. I will touch on this in another chapter.

I can’t help but think of this verse found in scripture: For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

My wife Sherry says we all have attitudes in our hearts. We all thoughts. We all have a soul. Everyone has a Spirit. The word of God is alive and it discerns everything on the inside of us…so that we know what is right. And we can choose to do it.

3 Tips for Success

God gives Joshua three extremely insightful tips to help him with success:

  1. Remember
  2. Study
  3. Obey

Remember

Everyone has moments in their past where truth has proven its life changing importance. You have had those moments of awakening when you saw or heard something that had a major impact on your outlook and perspective. Remember the positive ones. For me, it’s certain bible verses and catchy one-liners of wisdom…like this one: what goes around comes around.

I’ve noticed that many of the wise sayings I’ve heard over the years are just different ways to express the ancient biblical truths of scripture…for instance…‘You will always harvest what you plant’ is part of a verse found in the book of Galatians 6:7

Remember the wise sayings and all the circumstances that may have surrounded your hearing them for the first time. Where were you? how old were you? who were you with?

Study

Study where these words of wisdom originated. Study their contextual clues. Memorize the truths. They are life changing. They are the standard that will cause you to rise to new levels.

Obey

Obey is the holy word for action.  It means work. In fact, unless we want our faith to be dead, we must work. We must put action to our beliefs…we must put activity to our hopes. James 2:26 says, “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.”  NLT

IF: a powerful word

If you do these things, you will be successful. You will accomplish your purpose of leading others into their dreams of hope and freedom.

Wait! I’m feeling all alone.

*What do you do when it feels like no one is supporting you? simple. Go find someone to support.  You will reap what you sow…

“To be able to lead others, a man must be willing to go forward alone.” – Harry Truman

BONUS: It is really a great encouragement when we know we have the support of our peers and elders. Isn’t it? Have you found that to be true?

BUMMER: It is much more difficult when our elders and peers are distant and…or, even more so crushing, …they are disapproving and vocally unsupportive. Have you ever experienced this? ouch. tough place.

If it’s gonna be, It’s up to me

When you know you are supposed to do something DO IT. Please do not expect someone to do it for you. It is your responsibility to make sure it happens …otherwise, it won’t ….at least not thru you. Someone else will do it and you’ll be left in the dust of remorse and regret. You will see with your own eyes someone else taking your dream and vision and running with it…..that is because the vision really belongs to God. He is looking and searching for leaders!

The opinions of others should never keep you from being who you are. The opinions of others should never keep you from doing what you know you are supposed to do.

The opinions of others should never keep you from being who you are. The opinions of others should never keep you from doing what you know you are supposed to do. Jay Bryan Sandifer
The opinions of others should never keep you from being who you are. The opinions of others should never keep you from doing what you know you are supposed to do. Jay Bryan Sandifer

I like what motivational speaker and author Les Brown says about you, “Don’t let someone’s opinion of you become your reality.”

What an empowering and liberating thought!

You are NEVER alone!

If you feel alone you are not. You are never really alone. NEVER. You may think no one will follow you, but if you live out your passions people will follow you. This is because people are so attracted to passion. Passion attracts. Passion attracts the right people. Your passion attracts those who will follow….and btw, that is NOT supposed to be everyone. Joshua only led the nation of Israel. Joshua only leads his people…and You will only lead yours. Make your voice heard so people will hear you and follow.

Joshua had a passion for the Lord. Joshua loved the Lord. Joshua looked first for God. He pursued God’s Kingdom first.

How do I know?  simple. …so glad you asked. Joshua was successful. Joshua’s success is proof that he obeyed the commands of the LORD I have been sharing with you….the commands found in the very first verses of The Book of Joshua!

Joshua would not have been successful had he not been strong and very courageous. It took repetition to infuse this all-important message of confidence and achievement into Joshua…from more than one source…But Joshua did the deal. He didn’t just sit around and think about! He had action. He could have sat around and made a bunch of excuses about how his leader was now gone….now what? what can I do? but no! Joshua was smart enough to be able to receive the word of the Lord…to take the word in. ..to meditate on it day and night. Are you?

If you want to experience victory, success, and fulfillment you too must have the passion for the Lord. I recently explained the importance of confirmation and endorsement from man.

BUT, what if there is no man to endorse you? Are you going to sit and wait for someone to come around and make you happy, make you feel loved, make you feel inspired? As business philosopher Jim Rohn says, “What if they don’t show up?!”

“What a lovely surprise to finally discover how unlonely being alone can be.” – Ellen Burstyn

You must be like the man David and powerful and gifted leaders found the life-giving pages of the scriptures. You must speak out to yourself.

  • SELF,
  • Wake up!
  • Get up!
  • Now!
  • Find rest in God!
  • God will never leave you or abandon you! Yoo are NOT alone!
  • Remember all the benefits of God!
  • Remember God’s mercies!
  • Remember God’s Goodness!
  • SING of his Power, Might, and Greatness!
  • Do not remain silent!
  • Do not hide. no.no. no.
  • What’s with the sadness? Do you not the plans and future The LORD has for you?
  • Put all your hope in God.
  • God is the one.
  • It is not by might, not by power, but the Spirit of GOOOOODDDDDDD!!”

You must make God’s words your words….like Jesus did.

When all HELL seems to break out against you, you must find that place in God where you know you are not alone. You must use the faith God has given to you. You must trust God. You cannot base your joy, happiness, and fulfillment on what you see in the circumstances around you. You’ve got to walk your journey by the empowering and life-giving faith God has so graciously given to you Do not journey by what you natural eyes see. You are of a different world. A different kingdom. There is a deeper level at work. There is an unseen realm where the angels of the Lord are warring for your goodwill.

There is a deeper level at work. There is an unseen realm where the angels of the Lord are warring for your goodwill. Do not be afraid. Be strong and very courageous.

Quotes About Feeling Alone

“The sequence is suffering, insight, will, action, change.”  -Allen Wheelis

“We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone.” – Orson Welles

“If you want to be happy, learn to be alone without being lonely. Learn that being alone does not mean being unhappy. The world is full of plenty of interesting and enjoyable things to do and people who can enrich your life.” – Michael Josephson

Confirmation! How important is Endorsement?

“Sometimes it takes a while to recognize that someone has a special ability to get us to believe in ourselves, to tie that belief to our highest ideals, and to imagine that together we can do great things. In those rare moments, when such a person comes along, we need to put aside our plans and reach for what we know is possible.”  -Caroline Kennedy

Confirmation by definition:

  • to establish the truth, accuracy, validity, or genuineness off; verify
  • to acknowledge with definite assurance
  • to make valid or binding by some formal or legal act; sanction; ratify
  • to make firm or more firm; add strength to; settle or establish firmly
  • to strengthen (a person) in habit, resolution, opinion, etc.

Isn’t that good? Confirmation is simply establishing the truth, making the move *valid* and adding strength to the task at hand.

Are you able to explain the importance of Confirmation? Jay Bryan Sandifer
Are you able to explain the importance of Confirmation? Jay Bryan Sandifer

Confirmation: It is completely essential. It is outright necessary. It is absolutely needed…IF you are to move forward with confidence into your new dream and project.

We’ve seen in Joshua’s example that The Lord commanded Joshua to be Strong! Three times.

But here is the thing…. I think this is amazing! …..Moses told the very same thing several months earlier. Check it out:

Then Moses called for Joshua, and as all Israel watched, he said to him, “Be strong and courageous! For you will lead these people into the land that the lord swore to their ancestors he would give them. You are the one who will divide it among them as their grants of land. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Who is Endorsing you?

Joshua had the support of his leader.  Joshua had the public endorsement of his leader Moses. I believe this validation comes thru the trust and demonstration of an initiative to get things done. Joshua was a warrior. Joshua was a soldier. Joshua was a leader.

Let’s learn a little more about the dialogue concerning Joshua’s set up for leadership:

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites. After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was, for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.” (These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)

Moses said to the Lord, “May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”

So the Lord said to Moses,Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him. Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their presence. Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him. He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command, he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command, they will come in.” -NIV

Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole assembly. Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the Lord instructed through Moses.

An endorsement is confirmation to your skill, gifting, and talent.

An endorsement is confirmation to your skill, gifting, and talent. Jay Bryan Sandifer
An endorsement is confirmation to your skill, gifting, and talent. Jay Bryan Sandifer
In our example, the lord used Moses and his existing administration to promote and confirm Joshua’s leadership ability to take over the nation…to take over the vision….to complete the will and desires of God for his people.
AND THEN…..The lord confirms this position and calling into next level leadership by speaking directly to Joshua AFTER Moses had passed.
One quick thought…..who are you shadowing? who are you serving? who are you in a relationship with who will take notice of your hearts efforts to impact this world and generation with your God-given talents, gifts, and skills?
Please take a moment and prayer for this person.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Getting Started. Joshua 1:9

Mind setting is really important when beginning a new journey. The excitement of something new must be prepared to meet the adversity of doubt and unbelieving voices.

When getting ready to embark on a new venture, the mind must be filled with all possible courage and determination.

Could this be why the LORD told Joshua….not once, not twice….but three times to be Strong?

Isn’t once enough? No. It isn’t.

Hearing the right and wise words of success & life one time? It is not enough….it never will be.

Why else would Joshua be instructed to NEVER stop reading the Book of the Law? Why else would the Lord tell Joshua that he MUST think about what it says day AND night?

The reason is simple. Success results from the words of mouth. Life and death are in the power of the tongue.

Quick question….what did God use to create the heavens and the earth? ______________

WORDS…..words are powerful. What we believe and speak over ourselves…even if its only in our thoughts will absolutely produce fruit. As a man or woman thinks in their heart…..they are. We are the all sum total of our thoughts. If we want success we have to think success. It will not happen any other way.

God is ready to be with us in all that we do, but first, we must be with him in all we say. He is ready to place the river in the desert for us. He is able to set the table of feasts in the wilderness. He is the one who challenges us to Self proclaim richness in the midst of poverty, Health in the midst of sickness and strength in the isolation of weakness.

A Simple Formula for Success. Joshua 1:8

There would be no need for positive healthy encouragement if it were not given.

Think about the above statement. Reread it if necessary.

Positive healthy encouragement only comes from a place of confidence, authority, and love those who love, encourage others to move by faith into their Promised Land.

We can read and Joshua 1:8 the Lord is telling Joshua for a second time in the same breath how to secure success and prosperity.

The Lord clearly gives Joshua the formula for success and prosperity. It is a simple formula. According to the biblical Book of Joshua, the formula for True success is as follows:

Keeping the law in your mouth + meditate on the law on the law day and night + doing according to all that is written in the law = a prosperous way, wise dealings, and ultimate true success.

In this formula, there is a lot of mention of the word law. What is this law?

In all practical sense, Jesus Christ sums up the entire law given to Moses with to command. Those two commands are (1) love God and (2) love people.

When you love God, you love people. All is fulfilled because God is love.

True success simply comes from loving God first

Our true success simply comes from loving God first.

Jesus said, seek God’s Kingdom first. If you seek God’s kingdom first in everything you say and do, all needed and necessary things will follow.

Your dreams, your leadership aspirations, and your vision will be yours *after* you seek God’s Kingdom first. In order to seek God’s kingdom first, you must first love God.

God’s kingdom is your secret to success. The kingdom of God is your Providence. Without God’s kingdom, you have no vision, no dream, no plan, no direction, and no true success.

Your true success is located inside of God’s Kingdom. That is why you should seek his kingdom first.

God promises this prosperity and true success when we first look for his kingdom in everything we say and do. Everything. Every day.

I believe, this is what the Lord was telling Joshua, “Joshua, I have success for you but first make sure that you meditate on my words day and night, and do what they say. Put action to the ideas. Bring life to those words through your actions. Make sure these words never leave your mouth, Joshua.

One of the key ingredients to your success is to keep God’s word in your mouth.

Talk to yourself and speak out loud The divinely Inspired words of God continually.

When your mouth opens God’s law and word should be heard and seen and should never be absent.

  • Take in the wisdom of your mentors.
  • Think about the power of their words.
  • Speak out loud and declare them over yourself.
  • There should never be a moment when you are without those words.
  • Think of them constantly.
  • Put them before your eyes.
  • Put them into your ears.
  • Breathe them.
  • Live them.
  • Explore them.
  • Protect them
  • See them happening in your life.
  • Envision them.

How to Have Prosperity. Joshua 1:7

Be strong and very courageous. Make sure to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

If you want prosperity wherever you go you simply need to keep the focus on the insights, advice, knowledge, wisdom, example, and success of your mentor….wait! You *do* have a mentor, don’t you?

Remember the very first leadership lesson of Joshua. 🙂

Keep the INSIGHT in sight. Jay Bryan Sandifer
Keep the INSIGHT in sight. Jay Bryan Sandifer

Before Joshua began to move forward in his action of leadership, I believe he had to undergo a process of renewal, conditioning and mind setting. Before gaining the necessary confidence to lead a nation of people to victory, I believe Joshua needed to know victory himself. Joshua needed to think about his assignment in the perspective of a specific victorious vision.

Dreaming about the vision actually gave voice to the vision. The vision was able to provide specific directions for Joshua. Your vision will do the same for you too.

In this example, the details of direction were found in the vision. Vision actually became words for Joshua….words in the form of pictures and his mind. Thoughts.

Vision speaks of past, present, and future.

The voice of vision uses the present to light the wood of the *learned and understood* experiences of the past which fuel the fiery passion and desire the future dream.

God used the dream and vision to speak to Joshua.

The Lord used the vision to build Joshua up. The great God of Israel gave Joshua a pep talk that has miraculously continued to encourage lives of the greatest leaders to this day!

According to the text found in the first chapter of the Book of Joshua, this is the second time Joshua is told to be strong.

1. Be strong. Joshua 1:6. This strength was necessary to produce the results of leading others into their Destinies and dreams.

2. Be strong. Joshua 1:7. This strength was necessary to follow the example assess, wisdom m, advice, words of the mentor.

This second strong is what we need if we want to have Prosperity wherever we go.

You may have heard the adage, Success leaves Clues. These Clues are found in the words and examples of those who have gone before us.

The words of your mentor are not new. They are old. They are ancient and timeless. You have heard the wisdom, one-liners, and Proverbs many times.

For you to become prosperous, you need the strength to stay focused on the *law* given to you by your mentor and leader.

Think of 5 things your mentor says that have impacted you. If you can’t think of 5 things, try checking this out.

How to Inspire Others. Joshua 1:6

In one way, our victory and success may be most effectively determined by the lasting positive impact we make on and in the lives of others. Simply put, we win when we help others win.

How different would your life be today if you knew your victory was an absolute guarantee?

What would be different about your experience if you heard a loving, caring, confident and powerful voice of authority speaking the following words over you?

  • Be Brave.
  • Be Determined.
  • Be Courageous.
  • Be Strong.

What if you knew that your leadership venture would guarantee change in others lives? Is that possible?

What if you knew that your actions would cause people to change?

What if people would be brought closer to the will of God for their lives because of your leadership initiative?

When you rally and move yourself towrds the dream, the people who are with you may not all follow you, but the ones that matter will. They are counting on you lead.

You are the one for the job. Your courage, strength, and confidence will produce the necessary motivation and inspiration for others to even move into the dreams they have….the dreams of your father’s… dreams that were left unfulfilled.
The best way to inspire others is to be true to yourself. Live your life with passion.
